It is a liquid filled pressure gauge with stainless steel case that is designed with movement and bourdon tube. The glycerin filling insures smooth pointer movement and thus good readability in string vibration conditions. The lubricating effect of the glycerin also provides protection against increased sudden shocks. The lenses come in polycarbonate glass.
